At the beginning of the second step the non-bowling foot moves forward and the non-bowling hand leaves contact with the ball and the motion is slightly left and forward. At the end of the second step in a four step approach the ball should be located beside the right calf (located beside the left calf for left handed bowler). This will allow your posture to maintain a leverage position throughout the approach.
