In the competitive arena, no matter how well your technique is, the ability to manage the lane quickly gives you the competitive edge that every bowler seeks. Have you ever said to yourself after completing a block of games, "If I only had more time." Well in the competitive arena there never seems to be enough time so you must be a "Master" in using what little time you have productively. Doing this has a direct impact on your ability to compete, even survive. Time used correctly in your lane management is among your most potent assets and must be organized and executed meticulously to determine your level of success.

The question is not "can you do it?" but "how fast can you do it?" Given enough time any player will eventually figure out what to do but in the competitive arena you are only given a limited amount of time so you must have a detailed lane management plan on what to do and when to do it otherwise you are not prepared for the competitive arena and certainly not ready to win.
